Initial Visit

In your first session, I will give you a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and your first treatment. We will discuss your current health and review your medical history as well as talk about your life in general. In addition, the initial visit includes a traditional Chinese physical exam which includes abdominal acupressure, pulse, and tongue diagnosis. You will also receive a de-stressing and detoxifying auricular treatment. The initial session will last approximately 90 minutes.

Follow-Up Treatment

Subsequent visits will take approximately one hour. Each session is uniquely designed for each patient. The first 10 to 20 minutes are spent checking in with the patient to get feedback from the prior treatment and design the current treatment. Depending on the patient's health needs, needles are placed in various points along the energy pathways called meridians. Patients may feel nothing at all, or they may experience transient warmth, tingling, or occasionally a brief ache or sting with the insertion of the needles. Each session is done in a relaxing, private treatment room. It is common for patients to fall asleep while receiving acupuncture.
